"You're the last thing I think of at night, and the second thing I think of in the morning," he told her, as they were both all cozied up together under his blanket. Curious, she then asked, "well, what's the first?"
"Breakfast," he said with a coy smile on his face.
After hearing what he said, she started giggling the most cutest giggle he has ever heard. It's almost a skill for him to always know exactly what to say to make her laugh. Ever since she could remember, he has always been there for her no matter what - through good times and bad times, through hell and back. Are they a couple? Yeah, some would call them that. Are they best friends?
Absolutely.
The relationship they shared was something admired and hoped for by many. Together, but notreally together. If you ask them if they were a couple, they would laugh it off and deny every single word. But in between the laughters and denials, you can see them sneaking in a cheeky glance or two at each other. They never really cared about labels. Why should they? What they had with each other was too special to be given a single title to. They could cuddle, have their fingers intertwined or do what every other run-of-the-mill couple does without it creating any kind of conflict or uneasiness. To say they loved each other was an understatement. To say that they're in love with each other, well, I'll leave that for you to decide.
"So, what do you wanna do today?" "I'm completely fine with just spending the day in bed like this. What do you think?" "Sounds pretty good to me," she whispered.
